It is I, Scribblegut the Third,update whisperer, keeper of cursed calendars, and loyal minion to the Overlord’s most villainous schemes!
The doors of the Dark Citadel have creaked open, and the first pages have turned. Whether you started early (you rebellious scoundrels) or are just now sharpening your quills, the time has come to embrace your inner evil.
Let the villainy begin!
🏰 INTRODUCTION: The First 3 Weeks
Your tale begins within the Dark Citadel, a stronghold of shadows and sorcery. The first three weeks serve as your Introduction Arc designed to help you test your powers and choose your path.
Each week, you will select from two villainous champions to play. They come with unique mechanics, personalities, and beautifully wicked artwork. Play them one at a time and feel their villainy in your bones.
After the three weeks are up, you’ll be prompted to choose one villain to rule your story for the rest of the year. (Or create your own, you overachiever.)
💡 Tip from the Torture Tower: Wait until after the third week to build your custom character. You’ll get a much better sense of the mechanics and vibes that suit your sinister soul.

Ahhh yes... the final villain in our level-up showcase: The Covenborn. This one gave us creative freedom, and we ran with it on a broomstick.
How does a witch grow stronger over time? We envisioned her evolving from a twisted forest hag to a formidable coven queen, her power drawn from rituals, relics, and the collective will of her sisters.
Would we attend one of her tea parties? Absolutely not. But we’d RSVP out of fear.

That’s right, fiends. We are officially locking orders today!
An email has flown from the ether (or BackerKit’s servers) letting you know your time is up. After this, you can no longer make changes to your order. No switching tiers, no adding items, no removing that second dice bag you panic-added at midnight. It’s all sealed. Well... after the 48 hour window.

Here’s what happens two weeks from now on November 28th:
